Pentax Optio 750Z
vs
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-V3
vs
Canon PowerShot G6
We've been digging on dpreview.com (along with everywhere else) and all of them have things that we like, but none of them seem to outweigh the others. Does anybody have any opinions?
Overall, we want something thats 7MP, takes good pictures, is resonably priced, has good battery life, and isn't a kludge (excluding a learning curve). All three fill the categories... hehehehe

1) Competitive marketing trends and advances in engineering lead to downward shifts in pricing and upward shifts in micro-technology.
2) I generally hone in on specific items by choosing the upper mid-range. They tend to have the best cost vs staying power ratio. (Example: Look at the pricing/quality difference between 4MP vs non-SLR 7MP.)
3) A 4MP can't effectively give you a very near photo quality (600dpi) 8.5" x 11" whereas a 7MP can hit it at over 750dpi.
4) I use a $1,500 (no, that's not a typo) 35mm SLR. The two 2MP cameras we have now are just toys to me. I want something serious, but within my budget.
5) While I may be an amateur photographer, the pictures themselves are used for professional purposes.
6) Sure, most people can't see the difference in quality so long as they're the same physical size. But I personally have a tendency to hone in on artifacts, noise, and the like. The higher the quality of the lenses and CCD, (well, algorithms too) the lower the problems.
